About Us

The Federation was formed in 1995 and moved into offices at Park Road, Cannock in November 2012.  The Federation relocated to alternative office accommodation at Highfields Centre, Smalley Close, Hednesford, Staffordshire WS11 5TY in April 2017.

There are 4 main Officers of the Federation - Chairperson, Vice-chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer who are involved in the day to day running of the organisation.

Executive Committee meetings are held bi-monthly, this committee is made up of two representatives from each affiliated Residents Association and each group has the right to vote at our Annual General Meeting which is held once every 12-15 months.

CTRF organise district-wide Consultation meetings which are open to any resident or tenant of the Cannock Chase District and are held every each alternate month.  At each meeting a guest speaker is invited to provide relevant information and advice, speakers include the Police & Crime Commissioner, Council Officers, together with Community Groups and Associations. 

Housing Liaison Group Meetings are attended by 3 of our Executive Committee members, with Cannock Chase District Council representatives - Portfolio for Housing, the Head of Housing & Waste Management and Service Improvement Manager, to put forward ideas on Housing policies.

We are responsible for monitoring all affiliated Residents' Associations'. Check out our support page for further information on how we help Associations.


Local Offers Standards

The Federation is committed to the delivery of the Local Offers for Neighbourhoods of Cannock Chase and will work in partnership with the Council and others to make sure it happens and meets the Government's target for these which should be in place by the end of March 2011.  There will be meetings all over the District in the future regarding these standards which will enable tenants to become involved and will be advertised on our news page.

  • Repairs Focus Group Meetings with Depot management
  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Transport
  • Road safety
  • Void and lettings procedures
  • Grievances
  • Estate maintenance issues
  • Business planning
  • Estate agreements
  • Drawing up the new tenancy agreement with the Council
  • Rubber stamping Estate Management documents/leaflets
  • Partnering meetings with outside contractors (Gas & Solid Fuel Maintenance/Kitchens/External Envelope/Electrical Upgrade)
  • Appointed Open Communities for Housing Project on behalf of tenants for the Council
  • Shop mobility
  • Take part in Estate Walks with Estate Management on a quarterly basis for grounds maintenance and Cannock Chase Council inspections.

We are always looking for new members/volunteers, you do not need to have any qualifications and there is no age barrier. We have both evening and daytime meetings so any commitment that you could offer would be welcome. Some of the personal benefits would be helping your own community, making new friends and gaining valuable skills and experience.
